East Bay Open Studios 2013

By Exhibition No Comments

For the 10th year, I’ll participate in Pro Arts’ East Bay Open Studios. I’ll have some new prints and old favorites, plus my book of night photography.

Again this year, I’ll join around 40 other artists in Jack London Square’s Pavilion (the former Barnes & Noble bookstore space). Plus, there will be at least two dozen more artists in Market Hall nearby. Lots to see. So please stop by this weekend or next between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and say hello. If my work moves you, inspires you, or delights your senses in any way, please take some home.

East Bay Open Studios is produced by Pro Arts, an Oakland-based nonprofit that supports the arts within communities by serving the ongoing needs of artists. Open Studios connects the public with over 400 regional artists and is accompanied by the Directory of East Bay Arts. More information and online gallery at proartsgallery.org.

Winter Open Studio 2012

By Exhibition No Comments

Ah, fall, my favorite season. On this weekend and next, 11 a.m.–6 p.m., I’ll once again open my studio to the frenzied art-buying public.

Take some of these items home with you to treat yourself or someone you love:

  • Matted prints, framed prints, and even unmounted prints you can present however you like. They come in sizes from 8″×10″ to 32″×40″ and beyond.
  • My first book of night photos, Good Night, Ocean View, in softcover or hardcover

Don’t worry, you’ll have an opportunity during the show to order prints in time for whatever holiday you celebrate. Plus, there are lots of prints on hand to take home with you. And I even ship!

All the best this holiday season. Hope to see you at my studio soon.

Five artists—Deb Sibony, Elaine Gerber, Kathleen King, Ellen Markoff, and I—will host a one-weekend show, March 24 and 25, at Studio 1509 (Deb’s studio) in Berkeley, on San Pablo Ave. at Cedar St. Besides my award-winning night photography prints and my book, there will be prints, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, and much, much more.

On Thursday, March 22, we’ll host a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. We’ll have food and wine and fun, so come out and join in!

Exhibit at Collector Art Shop

I’m very pleased to be included in Collector’s group show. Collector is an art shop in Berkeley’s Elmwood neighborhood, on College at Ashby. They carry all kinds of gorgeous 2D wall art, cards, jewelry, ceramics, and more. Really nice stuff. The show runs through April 9.

I hope you’re enjoying fall and the holiday season. For two weekends in December, 11 a.m.–6 p.m., I’ll once again open my studio to the frenzied art-buying public.

Here are some of the items you can take home with you to treat yourself or someone you love:

  • My first book of night photos, Good Night, Ocean View, in softcover and hardcover
  • Matted prints, framed prints, and even unmounted prints you can present however you like. They come in sizes from 8″×10″ to 32″×40″ and beyond.
  • My Night Photos screensaver is only $20 and makes a unique stocking stuffer or Hanukkah gift. Kwanzaa? Solstice? Hey, I’m an equal opportunity gift supplier.

There will still be time during the show to order most prints in time for whatever holiday you celebrate. And there are lots of prints on-hand to take home with you. Plus, I offer domestic and international shipping.

Whew! I better get busy. All the best this holiday season. Hope to see you at my studio soon.

The exhibit runs through January 22, 2012. Join me for a reception on Thursday evening, December 15, 5–8 p.m. There will be food and drink and merriment. Come out and meet other art lovers, and be sure to say hello.

Winter Open Studio 2010

I hope, like me, you’re enjoying fall and the holiday season. This weekend and next, 11 a.m.–6 p.m., I’ll open my studio to the frenzied art-buying public.

And to make my work even more affordable for those on tight budgets, I’ve made a few changes:

  • 8″×10″ prints are available again.
  • Unmounted prints. You can mat and frame them however you like. They’re much cheaper to ship too. You know I offer international shipping, right?
  • New, lower pricing.

There will still be time to order most prints for Christmas or winter solstice. And there are lots of prints to choose from to take home with you. Did I mention that my Night Photos screensaver is only $20 and makes a unique stocking stuffer? It’s so true.

Also, I’m excited to have finished my book of photos, Good Night, Ocean View. I expect to have copies of it by the second weekend. You can preview and buy it online or at my show.

Whew! I better get busy. Hope to see you soon.
